SPECIALIZED IN HANDLING OF DRY AND LIQUID BULK PRODUCTS

Terminals

With our unique location in Port of Rotterdam and Houston, we provide efficient and reliable services to ship owners, charterers and traders. We have become one of the largest company in the competitive field of petroleum storage and terminal operations. We leads the way in defining and designing efficient, services for the storage of petroleum and petrochemical products, enabling us to transition into the future. Based on this and in combination with our specialized testing work, we have deep understanding of fuel composition and the operational.

BKW Foremost Transport B.V. has terminals in key marine locations that are critical to our customers around the world. BKW Foremost Transport B.V. Terminals is an industrial facility for the storage of oil and/or petrochemical products and handling services for all liquid bulk and gaseous products, from which these products are usually transported to end users or further storage facilities. BKW Foremost Transport B.V. typically has tankage, either above ground or underground, and gantries (framework) for the discharge of products into road tankers or other vehicles (such as barges) or pipelines.

Our depots have road tankers operating from their grounds and these vehicles transport products to petrol stations or other users. The products which reach our depot (from a refinery) are in their final form suitable for delivery to customers. In some cases additives may be injected into products in tanks, but there is usually no manufacturing plant on site. BKW Foremost Transport B.V. depots are modern and comprises of tankage, pipelines and gantries.

Our tanks range in size from 40 to 60 feet high, and 150 to 270 feet in diameter, holding anywhere from 57,000 to 575,000 barrels of petroleum products. The size of the tank is determined by the design requirements of pipeline and refinery customers. Our Tank Farm Facilities and terminals are strictly regulated and must comply with comprehensive Transportation requirements that govern everything from design, maintenance, and size of tanks; to safety measures including containment; to regulations for air quality and other environment permitting. BKW Foremost Transport B.V. Tank Terminal are well-maintained facilities that have been designed, built, and located to minimize public impact. Terminal facilities are secured and fenced, with lighting designed to provide security yet minimal disturbance to neighbors, and as part of an interstate transportation system.

Among other integrity testing, new tanks are filled with water and monitored for potential leaks during hydrostatic testing prior to being placed into service. In addition, cathodic protection provides corrosion control as normal operations are engaged. Tanks are also grounded to minimize static electricity build up during filling and refilling, and to redirect lightning strikes, should any occur. All of our facilities are routinely monitored, inspected and maintained. Trained terminal personnel complete a visual inspection of every tank at least monthly. Additional annual inspections are also performed. BKW Foremost Transport B.V. support the efforts of safely and reliably delivering petroleum products to refineries tankers vessels and our other clients to make into products we all rely on every day. BKW Foremost Transport B.V. are constructed using quality steel plate.
